The Obama Winter White House Sold

by OceanHome

Located on 27,000 square feet on the windward eastern shore of Oahu, just 20 minutes from Honolulu, Paradise Point is a gated, island retreat comprised of three structures—including the Plantation oceanfront Estate and a guest suite—marked by exquisite luxuries and unmatched scenery. President Barack Obama and his family have been content to call this corner of the world their home during the past two winter holiday seasons, prompting many to dub this private estate on Kailua Beach the “Obama Winter White House.”

The home, which was featured on the cover of the March/April 2010 issue of Ocean Home magazine, was sold recently to readers Glenn and Debra Weinberg of Owings Mills, Maryland. “The oceanfront properties featured in Ocean Home magazine are always stunning. This was especially true of the Obama Winter White House feature, which first introduced me to our new home,” commented Mr. Weinberg, who is a vice president of The Cordish Co., a real estate development firm based in Baltimore.

Most expensive house in the world – $750M

The Villa Leopolda, located on the French Riviera, was estimated for a sale on August 2008 for $750 million, of Lily Safra by the Russian Billionaire Prokhorov who revealed as the mystery buyer of the Villa at that time. However, the Russian mogul lost his deposit on the property when he reneged on completing the sale an amount of $55 million.

Built for King Leopold II of Belgium in 1902, the Belle Époque mansion was used as a summer retreat for the king. The property has since changed hands a couple of times, and its previous owners include the late Giovanni Agnelli, of the Italian marque Fiat, and Lebanese-born Swiss banker Edmond Safra.  The villa has been rumoured to be the home of Bill Gates and many more global figures, including  Roman Abramovich.

Private paradise of Athina Onassis in the hands of Giorgio Armani

Aristotle Onassis

Athina Onassis ( de Miranda ex Roussel) has started to sell everything inherited from his grandfather in Greece and there is nothing to stop …

As long as part of the mythic Aristotle Onassis‘ estate passed into the hands of the Athina, it’s been clear to everyone that she wants to get rid of the “burden” of her Greek … heritage. It has become bad luck charged this property and she would like to remove all evidence connected with bad family karma. The truth is that the vast Onassis fortune is inextricably linked to family deaths and tragedies, which has created many times excuses for books and documentaries.

After selling home in Glyfada, a beautiful suburb of Athens, mother jewelry and paintings of Aristotle Onassis, now it takes order an area of 160 acres over a small creek in Sivota. The area is truly magnificent, the waters are crystal clear and overlooks the Ionian waters. The Sale announcement in the area had come two years ago but only last year found a buyer that is no other than Giorgio Armani.  The Italian designer travels frequently in the Ionian Sea in his yacht along with his famous friends. Last summer when he was in the area and learned about the land sale was thrilled! The amount of sale reaches the 5 ml €.

by LuxuryLaunches – image gallery : theULtimateLuxuryCommunity

There is no stopping the rise in global real estate prices. The recent news on this upward trend in the real estate market comes from one of my favorite holiday destinations, Switzerland. Touted to be one of the most exclusive properties of Switzerland, Du Parc Kempinski has caught our attention as it is currently the most expensive property in Switzerland. The exclusive residential building is built in partnership with international luxury hotel group Kempinski. Du Parc Kempinski is a private residential building comprising of twenty one apartments and three penthouses. The apartments will vary from two-bedroom 200 square meters units to six-bedroom 690 square meters options. All pricey homes, a two-bedroom apartment in this building will cost approximately CHF 4.7 million ($4.4 million) while prices for the penthouses range from 19 – 24 million CHF ($18 – $22 million). The building was previously home to the 1906 Hotel Du Parc and is now being renovated into one of the most exquisite residential complexes.

“The Place to Live” – Manoel Island & Tigné Point Project, Malta

 by Carl Peralta – 77GreatEstates

The €450 million, 44 hectare Manoel Island and Tigné Point development is Malta’s most ambitious property regeneration project. These two prime sites are located in one of the island’s most desirable residential areas. Within view of each other across Marsamxett harbour, Tigné Point and Manoel Island’s fabulous locations are a guarantee of their enduring appeal. Only 20 minutes from the airport, and a short drive or boat ride from the capital Valletta, the sites are close to the fashionable urban centers as well as the heart of cultural life. Tigné Point is located at the eastern tip of Sliema, a much sought-after commercial and residential hub, while Manoel Island nestles between the Ta’Xbiex marina and Sliema’s Valletta-facing seafront.
